Pick up your passport in DHL

Beginning on Friday, September 1st, recipients of American visas will pick up their passport with the newly issued visa from DHL offices.

DHL branches where the passports can be picked up are:

• Paseo Colón
• Plaza Rohrmoser
• Curridabat
• La Aurora, Heredia
• Jacó
• Quepos
• Limón
• Liberia
• Pérez Zeledón
• Tamarindo, Guanacaste

DHL branches are open from Monday through Friday, from 8 am to noon, and from 1 pm to 6 pm. Saturdays hours are from 8 am to 1 pm.

The great advantage of this service, which costs ¢2.450  per passport, is the time saving, especially for those who live outside of San Jose, since they won’t have to go back to the US Consulate in Pavas to pick up their passports.

There will be a DHL representative at the Consulate, who will ensure that passports are sent to the proper locations.

For further details, please contact the US Embassy Press Office (Phone: 220-2441).
